The following verse is not saying you can never be angry. It is saying don’t let your anger be so strong that in words or deeds, you want someone else to pay. That’s what letting the sun go down on your anger is all about. The Bible is saying don’t let anger fester. If it does anger will grow. Unchecked angry thoughts eventually blossom into an act. You can stop this from happening by killing anger’s root. Choose to forgive even when you know your on the right side of the argument. It will heal you. Do your best to get the issue resolved so that resentment, and ill will cannot take residence in your heart. God will fix whomever needs fixing. Please just make sure your heart stays free of weeds anger produces.
