THOUGHTS FROM JACKIE: “Stronger Than You Think”

THOUGHTS FROM JACKIE: “Stronger Than You Think”

Life is full of challenges. So often we feel like those challenges are insurmountable. What we must all remember is when a relationship with Christ is established we are not alone. Psalm 68:34-35 says, God is strong, and that He shares His strength and power with His people. Proverbs 3:7-9 says, when the Lord is acknowledged/respected properly in our lives He will strengthen us. This is accomplished by surrendering our all to God. Verse 9 even includes all that we own. Pretty cool trade that we can share a portion of our increase with God, and in exchange get all of Heaven backing our every endeavors. Ephesians 3:20 identifies where the power is actually located. Then power of God is within us and is presently active. In Revelation 3:7-10 the strength of the servants of God is called “little.” Because, however, they were faithful to use the strength they had they could expect for Jesus to show up and give them the ability to escape the testing/tribulation that was to come. When in Christ we are much stronger than we think.

Psalm 68:34-35
34 Ascribe strength to God;
His excellence is over Israel,
And His strength is in the clouds.
35 O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places.
The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people.
Blessed be God!

Proverbs 3:7-10
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
8 It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.
9 Honor the Lord with your possessions,
And with the firstfruits of all your increase;
10 So your barns will be filled with plenty
And your vats will overflow with new wine.

Ephesians 3:20
20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond
all that we ask or think, according to the power that works
within us,

Revelation 3:7-10
7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,
‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He
who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts,
and shuts and no one opens”: 8 “I know your works. See,
I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut
it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word,
and have not denied My name. 9 Behold, I will cause
those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are
Jews and are not, but lie—I will make them come and bow
down at your feet, and make them know that I have loved
you. 10 Because you have kept the word of My perseverance,
I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour
which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those
who dwell on the earth.
